During his era Checkley’s influence was so strong that he convinced Alan Calvert, the founding father of US Weightlifting, creator of the plate barbell, founder of the Chdckley Barbell Company in and “Strength” Magazine in to give up weight lifting and become an enthusiastic promoter of Checkley’s natural method of training.

I have witnessed simply marvelous changes in the complexion, form and disposition of women under light training. They were not merely body builders.
